ABOUT IAN
One of Ian's passions in life is to support and encourage those with a Christian faith and world view to be confident in their belief system as being 'true' truth.

As a Christian apologist, he wishes to communicate in an understandable and straightforward way answers to valid questions that Christ followers and both agnostics and atheists have with regard to the Christian belief system and world view.

APOLOGETICS

Understanding that being a Christian is a relationship with God rather than having to adhere to a set of religious rules and regulations is paramount to understanding the Christian faith as communicated in God's general revelation to man through nature and His special revelation through the Bible and Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity.
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." ~ Peter, Apostle of Jesus Christ.
I Peter 3:15
Truth is true whether or not it is believed.

Truth does not require belief in order to be true, but it does deserve to be believed.
CS Lewis:
"I have just passed on from believing in God to definitely believing in Christ - in Christianity....my long night talk with Tyson and Tolkien had a good deal to do with it."
19th September 1931, Magdalen College, Oxford.

-
God and the Universe
The universe was created, or it came from nothing. The "nothing" argument is the position that Richard Dawkins holds. The immensity and beauty of the universe intrinsically pushes back against the "nothing" theory.

-
God or No God? - is there a rational argument for the existence of God?
Over the years, science has moved from holding to an eternal steady state universe to a universe that had a beginning. The four positions for the cause of the universe are considered and brought to a logical conclusion.

-
Evolution or Creation - does it really matter?
After secondary school and university, 70% of Christian young people lose their faith. The biggest challenge is that they are presented with evolution as "fact." If evolution is true, then the Biblical account of creation is a fable, where the New Testament speaks of Adam as the First Man and Jesus as the Second Adam is a fallacy. The presentation addresses Charles Darwin's statement, "Why then is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? This perhaps is the most obvious and serious objection which can be urged against the theory." This situation of a lack of transitional forms remains today.

-
Why does God allow Evil in our World?
As we understand the Biblical position of the "fall of man" and the effects of sin, man's rebellion against God, on creation, the Christian worldview contains both a reasonable and acceptable explanation of the existence of evil and suffering in our world.

-
End Times Biblical Prophecy
Ian holds to a pre-tribulation, pre-millennial escatology. How do the Old Testament and the New Testament prophecies hang together? A clear and succinct presentation unravels the mystery of future things for our world.

-
Abortion - the facts - an unborn child has rights too
Linda Burbridge presents this subject from an ethical and practical position holding to the sanctity of life and the human right to life for the child.

-
Transgenderism - legitimate dissatisfaction or mental confusion?
How can transgender individuals be cared for in order to ensure the best physical, mental and spiritual health outcomes as they engage in considering irreversible medical treatments as children.

CS Lewis:
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
